About Us

Mission

To further educate the Halton community about their local forest ecosystems and the value of the trees and animals that live within them.

General Information

The Halton Forest Festival is a four day outdoor event held at Rattlesnake Point Conservation Area. During the week, the festival educates grade 6 and 7 students who are provided with experiential, interactive and curriculum-linked activities that allow them to get outside and immerse themselves in their local environment.

On the weekend, we invite all members of the community to the Halton Forest Festival Public Day. Taking place during Conservation Halton’s Fall into Nature, this event provides the community with a chance to experience some of our fun activities and presentations giving landowners new knowledge or resources and students the opportunity to share the lessons they learned at the educational days with loved ones.

The Festival was launched thanks to a multi-year grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation. The Ontario Trillium Foundation is an agency of the Government of Ontario.
