Ontario Forestry Association

Are you interested in pursuing a career in forestry? The Ontario Forestry Association is focused on increasing the promotion of educational opportunities and careers for youth in the fields of forestry and natural resource management. This involves providing information and resources to school boards, guidance counselors, teachers, and students regarding specific programs, course descriptions, and direction to employment opportunities - thus offering high school students with the facts needed to make informed career decisions.

Envirothon

The Envirothon gets students outdoors, to experience nature first hand and hands on! Envirothon is a unique team competition that rewards students for learning about the natural world around them.

EcoKids

EcoKids is a free, environmental education program that offers curriculum-linked materials and fun games and activities for Canadian elementary schools to engage in environmental action.

  

Tree Bee

Tree Bee is a tree identification and forest conservation competition for grade 4 to 6 students across the GTA. The program, celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2012, encourages students to learn about tree identification and general forest knowledge. These students then gather at a competition once a year to show off their identification skills! This competition is a great opportunity to get kids excited about trees, forests and nature.

Earth Rangers

Earth Rangers is a non-profit organization that believes in the power of kids like you to take action to help protect wildlife. Check out their website for information about the crisis facing wildlife (the Biodiversity Crisis) and more importantly, about what YOU can do about it. You can also find out more about some amazing animals that are at risk of extinction, connect with other Rangers across Canada and play eco-games!
