Volunteers

The Halton Forest Festival is a community initiative. Volunteers will play an important role in running the Festival and ensuring it is a success.

Volunteers are needed to help present activities during the Education days of the Forest Festival and assist with the operations of the event. To see a complete list of opportunities available, please see our Volunteer Roles and Duties chart.

We ask that volunteers make a minimum one day commitment from approximately 8 am to 3 pm. Volunteer assistance is also needed to help set up activities the day before the festival runs, as well as dismantle the activities after the Festival is over.

High School Volunteers needed

We are looking for high school student volunteers to help present the activities during the education portion of the Forest Festival. Working in pairs, high school students present activities to groups of school children. If you are a grade 11 or 12 teacher, interested in bringing one or more classes for a day, please contact the Forest Festival Coordinator.

Volunteers at the event will gain experience in teaching, public speaking, community outreach, and time management skills. Volunteers will also be provided with a Certificate of Appreciation, and a hearty lunch in appreciation of their efforts in helping to make the Festival a success!
